Our new house

We moved into our new house

In the middle of the street

Opened the Blue  front door

And lo and behold there

Was a beautiful wooden floor

Down the hall  and off to the right

Was a kitchen any mother’s delight

Cupboards from top to bottom

Cooker and hob not a bad job

In the front room was an open fire

That would keep us worm at night

Up the stairs was three bed rooms

Two large and one small

The bathroom was green and white

Mum can’t stand Green and White

looked out of the window

A garden to see a jungle with grass

So high it reached the sky

Were  Lions and Tigers could hide

But me and my wife love our new house

Even with Lions and Tigers around

GILLIAN’S Great book give away in St Annes nottingham

Gillian Sims gave free books to members of her community on Tuesday 23rd October. 2012

The Manners collection was published in 2009.
This book was at the heart of the community on Tuesday where it was first launched at the Chase library three years ago.
Many children will have the pleasure of reading the light-hearted poetry about manners and will engage with the fun characters while they tell their tales.
Photos and books were exchanged in the community, and all were delighted to receive the books.
