My little Green Friend

There was a little caterpillar,
I called him hairy Fred
He was searching round my garden,
Looking for a bed
He couldn’t find one leaf,
Or even a flower-pot
All there was, was soil,
My mum had cleared the lot
He crawled and wriggled some more,
Until finally he gave up
He had searched every corner,
And looked in every nook
He settled on the bin house,
And curled up for his snooze
Tomorrow he will search elsewhere,
And hopefully not lose.

Stopping By Woods on a Snowy Evening – Your Favourite Poem

Whose woods these are I think I know.
His house is in the village though;
He will not see me stopping here
To watch his woods fill up with snow.

My little horse must think it queer
To stop without a farmhouse near
Between the woods and frozen lake
The darkest evening of the year.

He gives his harness bells a shake
To ask if there is some mistake.
The only other sound’s the sweep
Of easy wind and downy flake.

The woods are lovely, dark and deep.
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.

Field of Dreams – Promote Yourself

Neuron farmers

Till the fields

Pruning dead pathways

Listening to the synaptic fire

In their crackles is heard

Memories of serotonin storms

A quick prayer is made

For neurotransmitted rains

And the harvest they bring

Here the work

Never ends

Electric shoots

New skill buds

Emoted lightning points at groves

Withered wintered branches

This geosphere

shifts and changes

The old composted to feed the new

Once discovered jungle

Fought to make a home

Wild habits captured

Set upon and tamed

Opinions smoothed and sculpted

And all associated processes

Organised into a bonsaied forest

Deep roots search

Seeking water

Beneath baptismal fires

Creeping through

Every fiber

Synergistic life

Symbiotic farmers

Crackling through them

Synaptic fire

Ever creating

A new world.
