The demon we keep inside

demons

A demon lives in everyone’s soul

Just waiting, hoping to take control

There are moments in each day

We fight, trying to keep it away

We hope it can always be defeated

What happens when our fight is depleted

How do we survive when we lose control

A demon lives in everyone’s soul

Just waiting, hoping to take control

There are moments in each day

We fight, trying to keep it away

We hope it can always be defeated

What happens when our fight is depleted

How do we survive when we lose control

Knowing chaos is the demon’s only goal

Who can we turn to for a helping hand

How do we attempt to make a final stand

What if this battle we know we will lose

What’s the best path for us to choose

The pain inside might be ours alone

But the effect to others cannot be known

We won’t, we can’t, let the demon escape

No one else will suffer from our mistake

The only way to keep evil penned

May be for us to make this the end!

Inspired by the sad passing of Robin Williams and the demon he must have been fighting.

~CLOSED PAGES~Promote Yourself

ink
I ran out of ink
a change in style and rhythm.
Gone with the air in blink,
followed by a stopped breathing!

Each day on a new page,
new words are written.
The spiritual rage,
was far from our Earthly thinking.

To each word, i played,
like starring in movie
My actions were never delayed,
nor do i felt lonely!

Illuminated with spiritual light,
was the path I’ve trailed.
Seeking for internal delight,
into a new world I’ve sailed!

Eyes might cry,
hearts might be saddened,
forbid the lips to ask ”why”
for now I’m unburdened.

Heavenly creature held my door opened,
and i walked out.
I myself left hoping,
to be in peace without doubt!

The pen fate used,
and the words on the slate,
they were according to rules,
and a decreed date.

My last role is played,
with one final look,
gently I’m  layed
and closed will be the pages of my book!

Behind His Eyes

 willow

I loved everything you’d do
So resilient, how diversified
So many personalities
Yet watching I felt concern
What went on behind your eyes?
A sense of dread won’t leave
Seeing such ease with every change
Frightened I thought
Could anyone get close?
Could anyone know a depth of soul?

I heard the news and am guessing no
Counseling
Medication
Being treated for
How do you treat a state of mind
Telling you to die
It’s time
And it just makes sense to do

Now there’s peace
But I can’t shake this pain
Sense of loss soul deep
Beyond my reach more than I knew
As the black dog walks alongside me
My guardian angel t’would be
Till I reach that divide
Now ends my ride
And lets what remains become seed

For Robin Williams

williams
White- faced clown,
Huge red smile,
Beaming happily,
The man beneath,
Secretly wears a frown,
Laughing, and capering,
Making witty jokes,
Hiding the sadness within,
Who can truly know,
Another’s innermost heart,
The pain buried deep inside,
The wounds unhealed,
Driven by unseen Demons,
To harm themselves,
You were a shining light,
A bringer of joy and laughter,
Who will be missed.
