The Human Epic Itinerary: From Inner Space to Outer Space and then to … Cyber Space – Promote Yourself

The itinerary of the Human Epic: From inner space to outer space;
ironically, a fateful race, to a final stop … cyber space.

Read not, at your own risk, handwritten walls. From inner space
to outer space, to cyber space … we’ve raced.

From inner space to outer space, and through it, to cyber space … we’ve raced;
but cyber-space is wilder than previous frontiers … we’ve faced.

Pessimism – Promote Yourself

pres

That voice, I hear it
as it sneaks in insidiously,
telling me lies;
and I believe them.

A hopeful thought
becomes distorted,
crushed,
no more.

I convince myself that these invading thoughts
are more realistic,
preparing me for potential failures,
not realizing that they hinder me from success.

Where is my hope?
Is it not in Christ?
Then why be fearful?
Why let the light fade?

Confidence is not the same as arrogance.
Experiencing failures provides new opportunities for growth.
Being adventurous can reveal a world unknown.
Joyfulness will not only uplift myself but others.

Positivity is a choice, my choice.
It can change a life, my life.
What will I choose?

Who will I become?

Punctual practice produces perfect performance and progress

So profess your promise to possess your success!

Pride and prestige will pop up to the majority

Especially to those who make it a priority.

First pinpoint the perfect plank position to produce power.

This is not as easy as planting a perennial flower!

Pain will precede peace when pursuing the proper pace.

Pay attention to plantar fasciitis, pronation and of course each race!

Push through the panic to get to the praise; this is not a prank or a phase!

Plenty of pure provisions like peaches, potatoes, pumpkins and polenta

Unfortunately none of which come in magenta

But all these will help provide the proper physical fitness

As well as many pretty pink products for primping & prepping every picky pony tailed princess!

Paths may have pebbles, palm trees or ponds.

Polar peaks can mean prayers and parkas of which you may not be fond.

You may meet playful pups like a Pug, a Papillion or Pekingese,

Or perhaps a parrot, a pig or a pigeon, so pay your respects if you please!

There are perks like pizza, pasta and pies

And let’s not forget the premium pastries and ooh… the fries!

But no!  It’s for appearance, strength and proper placement.

That’s really why we pound the pavement!

Perhaps this can provide some poignant, pensive pondering during your play.

But to propose a promise of the profound production of poetry or prose is unkind at most

Chances are it will just be another post!

Restive Spirit – Promote Yourself

what

To settle down and doubts
To take in
And take on
To become part
Of One

Restive spirit
In me
And of God

Remind me how I love
To have those still calm points
About which
All turns
How the calm
In the middle
Of the storm
Sees what to do
Where to go

Sees what is next
The still waters
Refreshing
But still
Waiting
Getting ready
To go
To wait some more
To see
To see what really needs
To be done
To see what needs
Are really there
To see
With the heart and mind
And spirit
Of you
Amen

This is an Advent poem about getting ready at any time of the year or life, when we are not quite sure what we are getting ready for.  But waiting and getting
ready anyway.  I liked the idea of restlessness, resting and festiveness all rolled into one and that priorities and needs and “the reason for the season” had
to be recognised without getting overwhelmed by the season’s busy-ness.

Snow on the hilltops
All night and day
There was snow
And the whiteness turned
In some places
With long steps
Tired steps
Of someone
Carrying
The burden of his life

Besides warm clothing
And some worn out shoes
Socks those were fuming
For the wet sock
Why not seek love in hills
Covered with snow

Why a beloved is not born here
And why there is not
A mad man of the snows
Snow is not as cold
There is intense heat inside
And the beloveds of the snow
Let’s sing for them tonight
Let’s tell them to lit heavy fire
Let those chimneys emit smoke
Smoke the symbol of hope

And the fire burning
The smell of baking food
And the sweetness of the beloved’s
Warmth
Let us invent a story of love
As the hills covered with snow
And the pine trees carrying the weight of snow
Bent down

And the distant houses
All covered with a thick white blanket
Sleeping
And some young girls
Making breads and hot tea for the loved ones
In the early morning
As more snow
Rains from the skies

I bet it will snow this Christmas

snow\

Nottingham Castle

I’ve had a bet

That it will be a white Christmas

The bookie just laughed

but he still took my money

I said don’t laugh

There will definitely be snow

On this Christmas day,

But he gave me odds at 5/2

The bookie thinks he’s funny

Now he has my money

And got one over on me,

But he won’t be laughing

Because the weather forecast

Does forecast snow on Christmas day,

The last time it snowed

In Nottingham was 25 years ago

On Christmas day

In the bleak mid winter your favourite Christmas poem

Winter in Switzerland, by Jasper Francis Cropsey (1823-1900)
In the bleak mid-winter
Frosty wind made moan,
Earth stood hard as iron,
Water like a stone;
Snow had fallen, snow on snow,
Snow on snow,
In the bleak mid-winter
Long ago.

Our God, Heaven cannot hold Him
Nor earth sustain;
Heaven and earth shall flee away
When He comes to reign:
In the bleak mid-winter
A stable-place sufficed
The Lord God Almighty,
Jesus Christ.

Enough for Him, whom cherubim
Worship night and day,
A breastful of milk
And a mangerful of hay;
Enough for Him, whom angels
Fall down before,
The ox and ass and camel
Which adore.

Angels and archangels
May have gathered there,
Cherubim and seraphim
Thronged the air,
But only His mother
In her maiden bliss,
Worshipped the Beloved
With a kiss.

What can I give Him,
Poor as I am?
If I were a shepherd
I would bring a lamb,
If I were a wise man

I would do my part,
Yet what I can I give Him,
Give my heart.

Christina Rossetti

On This Christmas Night

 Christmas night gillian

The snowflakes glisten

The children listen

For Santa on his sleigh

Church bells are ringing

The choir is singing

On this Christmas night

The Christmas tree

Stands dressed in gold

With presents

Sparkling and bold

White carpets of snow

Lay all of aglow

The stars sparkle bright

On this Christmas night

The mince pies are out

Next to the pint of stout

Awaiting Santa Claus

On this cold winters night

As children wait

For the night to unfold

When all of their dreams

Will turn to gold

What happened on Christmas eve

fire (1)

Christmas Poem

I wrote this poem because it really makes people laugh and think about what happens on Christmas Eve when they are asleep. It also makes you think about the times you may have left your fire burning and what might have happened to Santa.

© Peyton
As Santa came down,
The chimney with care.
Below was the fire,
With a steaming hot flare.
As Santa squirmed down,
And his bottom was burned.
He threw down the presents,
And simply turned.
His reindeer blew,
The fire out.
And that’s when we heard him,
let out a shout.
He woke up the neighbors,
We saw him leave.
That’s why there’s no fire,
On Christmas Eve.
