Pine needles season the air
with their sweet aroma.
Warm wind sings a soft song,
settling the landscape
carefully into slumber,
startled suddenly awake
by winter’s breath whistling,
beasts of the wild howling,
screaming for freedom’s sake.
Pursuit of a Smile
You are the profound lack of color here.
You are the source of color everywhere.
You are the stillness before a strong storm
that sometimes never even comes.
You’re the scream lying dormant in my lungs.
You’re the bleeding dry of a thousand lies.
You’re the sovereign state where grown men cry,
commanding with impunity.
All or Nothing
There’s nothing more difficult,
than believing in your dreams.
There’s also nothing more driving,
when your desire to see their fruition,
is greater than your desire to breath.
