Christmas cards

 

 

Christmas is here once again

Brings memories of the past

The times we were together

I am alone again alas

 

Dusting down the Christmas cards

Placing them for all to see

The house is now empty

Since you were taken away from me

 

I miss the way you smiled

I miss you being there

I miss the warmth of your embrace

As I talk to an empty chair

 

Christmas can be a lonely time

When a loved one passes on

The sense of loss is painful

When you realise they have gone

 

As I read those Christmas cards

I thank God for all the years

That we both shared together

Through happiness and tears

 

I am going to enjoy Christmas

And toast our life with Champaign

Because I know one day

We shall meet in heaven again

Thoughts at Christmas

 

Christmas is a time of joy for some,

But Christmas can bring sadness too,

Christmas is what ever

The time of year means to you.

 

Christmas can be happy,

For all the girls and boys,

To see there faces light up,

When they receive their toys.

 

Christmas can be lonely,

For those that are left alone,

Families that have forgotten

Loved ones left at home.

 

Christmas brings out all that is good,

It lifts our very soul,

It makes us feel like children,

As we approach the Christmas Noel.

 

Remember as you celebrate Christmas,

Send good cheer all around,

For all the good fortune you have experienced,

And for all the love you have found.

Please can you help

Santa’s lost his reindeer

He does not know where to look

He’s even looked up the chimney

And then got covered in soot

So if you have seen his reindeer

Just give him a call

On Lapland 23234

Or go to Santa’s grotto

And knock upon his door

So please help poor Santa

Clumsy santa’s nightmare

 

 

As Santa prepared for Christmas

Putting all the toys in his sack

As he lifted the toys on his sleigh

It was then that he hurt his back

 

He went to the front of his sleigh

To make sure Rudolph had a shiny nose

It was then one the reindeers

Stood on one of Santa’s toes

 

Santa laughed it off as quite funny

As he hobbled back to his sleigh

Just as he was about to get in

The reindeer rose up and flew away

 

Santa by this time was angry

And took it out on Snowman Pete

Santa pushed Snowman Pete over

 Ending up in a very large heap

 

It was then that Santa realized

As he awoke from his bed that night

For he had experienced a terrible nightmare

Giving Santa a horrible fright

 

So Santa was not so clumsy

At last Santa was on his way

All the toys were delivered

To the children on Christmas Day
