HAVE YOU GOT THE RIGHT TIME?

Tick-tock the wife collects clocks

They cover the walls

There is even one in the hall,

And in the living room

Some are small and some are tall,

She even bought one off an old bloke

Who lives down the road,

But one or two of them are broke

Now she’s bought a Cuckoo clock

But that’s the only one

That does not go tick tock,

Some clocks chime like a little rhyme

But not one will tell me the right time

DID YOU FORGET TO PUT YOUR CLOCK BACK

TODAY?

It will be lonely this Christmas

It will be lonely this Christmas

Because my wife will not be by my side,

6 x 6 foot room

With four grey walls surround me

A prison cell

That’s why it will be lonely this Christmas

Because last year I got drunk

And knocked A little child  down,

So It will be lonely this Christmas

I deserved what I got,

3 years in prison that’s isn’t a lot

I took child’s life,

So That’s why I can’t see my wife

I will be lonely this Christmas,

That’s what I have to sacrifice

By Thomas Sims

The moral of this poem

IS

DON’T DRINK AND DRIVE

THIS CHRISTMAS

PLEASE REBLOG THIS AND SPREAD THE WORD. STOP THE SUFFERING THIS CHRISTMAS.

A New Broom

brush

Two brooms where wed
And when “I do’s” were said
The lady broom disclosed
The reason for her clothes
Of generous flatter
And the fact of the matter.
A little broom was on its way
Oh what a happy day
But he was not so happy
With expecting a little chappie
This just wasn’t fair
As he hadn’t swept with her

Come what may

New year – new year

I think I will make one

A new year’s resolution

This year

Stop smoking

Be nice to the wife

Make life better each day

Come what may

Be good, be true

Be sincere to everyone

You can make a promise

But can you keep it?

Tell me more,

I have 3 or 4 Ideas

In my head

But can I keep them all?

I kept one last year

For only day

But I will try again

This year,

Come what may

I promise to be good

Not bad

I will be happy

Not sad

So this new year

I will be good

I will stop doing

This and that

With no chit – chat

I will try to keep

My new years resolution

This year

Come what may.

Carol Singing

CAROL SINGERS TORCH

It was on the eve of Christmas in nineteen forty five

When I was singing with the local church choir

It was a cold, cold freezing night

Something happened which set my heart on fire

I was singing with a group of young people

And unknowingly I had a stroke of good luck

For I was the one holding the torch

And I shone it onto a young ladies hymn book

From that time we began our courtship

And eventually she became my wife

Shining my torch on her hymn book

Brought a wonderful change to my life

We’ve been together now for sixty seven years

And we’ve known many wonderful days

The fact I was holding the torch that night

Has brought me happiness in so many ways

I have some advice to would be carol singers

For there is something of which they should be aware

Don’t shine your light on a young ladies hymn book

Unless her life is something you are hoping to share
